Strength to Strength welcomes John D. Martin to share some words of Jesus as a reminder to those who diligently seek Him.
The Sermon on the Mount presents Jesus’ ideal, a colony of Heaven on earth as visualized in the Lord’s prayer, “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
In Matthew 7, Jesus presents four rules of life for those on the kingdom road:
- “Judge not”
- “Do not cast your pearls before swine”
- “Ask, seek, and knock”
- “Whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them”
Put aside your pat interpretations, and allow yourself a fresh perspective from Jesus’ Constitution.

John D. Martin is an itinerant Bible teacher with interests in a diversity of Christian topics including church history, economics, music, and church as community. He compiled the hymnbook Hymns of the Church.
One of John’s passions is to help people see that the main theme of Scripture is not the “scarlet thread” of Jesus’ atonement, but rather the Kingdom of God; our salvation is a means to and end, the end being the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom is intended to demonstrate the excellence of God’s character and his manifold wisdom, and this theme runs through the entire Bible.
He lives in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania and is a part of Shippensburg Christian Fellowship.

Kingdom Fellowship Weekend is an annual gathering in south-central Pennsylvania. It serves as a forum for Biblical edification focusing on spiritual renewal, fervent prayer, and absolute surrender to our King, Jesus.
Kingdom Fellowship Weekend is scheduled to be hosted at Roxbury Holiness Camp on Friday to Sunday, August 26-28, 2022.
