Strength to Strength Sisters welcomed Mariel Frost for a discussion of their family’s spiritual journey.
Leaving the culture in which we were raised can be unsettling. Finding our way to a Kingdom lifestyle is often especially difficult for us women. So, what is the secret to success? How can we help others in this transition? How can we ensure that our own journey won’t begin with enthusiasm but end in lukewarmness? And what should our attitude be towards those that walked with us for a time but have chosen a different path?
An interactive question-and-answer period follows.

Born in NYC, raised in a non-Christian home, educated to be a career woman, Mariel knows what it is like to leave her culture behind. One year into their marriage, Mike and Mariel were born-again at a non-denominational evangelistic service. They immediately began reading the Bible and trying to simply do what it says. This led to convictions about non-resistance, remarriage, and the head covering that made it increasingly difficult to fit in. The search for like-minded fellowship brought them through various denominations eventually ending in a move to a “Charity type” church in 2001.
Mariel currently lives in Ohio with her husband of 32 years, 11 of her 12 children, her mother-in-law and her step mother-in-law. Her desire is to be faithful in whatever God gives her to do. She has a passion for teaching and discipling her children, encouraging her sisters, and reaching out beyond her home whenever the Lord allows it.
