“Every Girl’s Journey” by Regina Rosenberry

Regina Rosenberry grew up in a country setting spending her childhood days playing doll, trapping groundhogs, setting up store, and climbing on top of the swing-set with her brother. As a young girl, she loved to read her mom’s old home economics book from her public school days. She poured over chapters on personal health, hygiene, basic first aid, and food presentation. This book started her interest in these topics, and she carried these interests into her adult life and into her writings. She’s in her happy spot when in her flower garden surrounded by bird song and sunshine. She lives in Greencastle, Pennsylvania with her husband Darwin and is blessed to be mom to six children and a recently-added son-in-law. She loves sharing life’s adventures with her family and holds the memories close to her heart.
Most girls can hardly wait to drive a car, join the youth group, and get a job. Exciting times! But before then, some important growing up takes places. Emotions swing wildly, and bodies start to change. Uncomfortable and embarrassing things can happen.
Every Girl’s Journey is a guidebook that helps girls know what to expect during this time of change, answering questions about sensitive issues in a frank and respectful way. Being well-informed reduces fear and confusion and gives girls courage and confidence as they grow up. Health, puberty, purity, friendships, and developing a relationship with God—these are all addressed in Every Girl’s Journey. This book is illustrated with beautiful artwork.

“She Shall Be Praised” by Gina Martin

Gina Martin lives in southern Pennsylvania with her six children. She grew up as the oldest of nine children and was blessed to be given a strong foundation of faith in God and knowledge of the Scripture. Gina was enjoying life as a homeschool mom and serving with her husband Ed at Mt. Olive Mennonite Church, when her world was rocked with Ed’s brain cancer diagnosis. Since his death in 2019, she has fought to find joy in her new role as a widow and solo mom. One of her delights is words, whether through reading, editing, or teaching. She hopes to see her community, her family, and her own heart continually transformed by Jesus Christ.
Who is a Proverbs 31 woman—an inspiring role model or an impossible pattern of perfection? Some women despair when comparing their lives to the Proverbs 31 checklist. She Shall Be Praised invites us to lay down the list and reexamine this famous passage. These pages consider twenty-one women in the Bible—women remembered not because of their skills and talents, but for how their lives displayed the power of God.
Historical information, additional Bible reading, and reflection questions help us rediscover the Proverbs 31 Woman and renew our love for a God whose strength is revealed through our weakness, not our accomplishments.
